The meat industry is said to contribute negatively to climate change and with a growing population many are looking for alternative ressources for nutrition. Insects are a great source of protein, however not something we are used to eating in the scandinavian countries. Hence we designed a campaign where instant cup soup with insects were handed out.
As the project aimed at making something unfamiliar (the notion of eating insects) seem more familiar we chose the typical and traditional copenhagen benches to be anchor points for the campaign. Above is shown a poster representing a Copenhagen map with indications of edible insects benches.
Below is shown technical drawings of the soup bowl which has a magnifying glass for people to study the insects closely. Furthermore you see the print of handdrawn woodlice which decorated the bags containing the soup bowl. Finally you see a classic Copenhagen bench decorated with the insect soup bags.
